2008 OGSA PRE-SEASON FUN GAMES

PURPOSE:
These Fun Games are for the girls to have a chance to play and PRACTICE against other teams before the season starts.
OGSA is using these Fun Games to help train umpires. There will be NO CONTESTED CALLS in the Fun Games. If the umpire makes a mistake, he/she will be corrected but the call will stand and the game will continue. If a call is contested or a problem occurs, the game will be canceled.
PLEASE TELL YOUR PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS THIS RULE.
FORMAT:
- 2 GAMES for $25
- Games will be ONE HOUR
- When the game time expires the batter at the plate will finish her at bat and then the game is over.
- 10 minutes between games. Teams must be ready to play at game time.
- NO INFIELD WARM UP
- Have your team gathered outside of your dugout and ready to occupy as soon as the previous team has congratulated their opponent, cleaned up the dugout, and vacated. Occupy the dugout and be ready to play immediately
- OGSA League rules and ASA rules apply
- Free Substitution. Bat roster (batting order cannot change after the start of the game).
- These games are meant for PRACTICE, either coach can stop the game at any time for instructions.
- Umpire calls cannot be contested. They are practicing also. If a problem occurs the game will be canceled.
- There may be only one umpire on the field. If so a parent is encouraged to volunteer to umpire the bases.
- These games are for OGSA League teams (NO tournament teams).
